Tacos Dorados
Servings: 6 people
Equipment
- 1 Infrared Thermometer
- 2 Spatulas
- 1 9 X 12 Glass Baking Dish You could also use a metal bowl, but I like the dish for transporting the tacos back inside.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 8 oz Colby jack cheese shredded You can get pre shredded but it's best if you get a block and use a grater.
- 1 Small White onion diced
- 16 Corn tortillas 6 inch
- 1.25 oz Taco seasoning 1 Packet
- 4 tablespoon Peanut oil
- ½ Head Shredded lettuce
- 1 Small Tomato diced
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Your favorite taco toppings I just put lettuce, tomato, salsa, and sour cream but get whatever you like to fill tacos with.
Instructions
- Preheat your griddle to 375 degrees then put down 1 tablespoon of oil.
- Place down your onions and cook them for 1-2 minutes, then place the ground beef right next to them.
- Sprinkle the seasoning on both the beef and the onions then combine the two and break up the beef.
- Once the beef is cooked all the way through move it into your glass baking dish. Immediately add your shredded cheese and mix it together.
- Add 3 tablespoons of peanut oil and let it heat up for 2 to 3 minutes while you mix the beef and cheese.
- Once the oil is hot, place all 16 corn tortillas in the oil. After a minute flip them once, let them cook on the other side for a minute then flip them back.
- Fill each taco with roughly 2 or 3 tablespoons of the beef and cheese mixture.
- Fold the tacos together then cook for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- Use your glass baking dish to take them back inside, fill them with your favorite taco toppings and enjoy!
